Our Founder, Michael Rudd
My name is Michael Rudd, and I am the founder of No Limits. As a father of eight, I have always been passionate about bringing joy to youth and families. I believe deeply in the strength of the family unit and in the importance of teaching life skills at a young age to help individuals succeed.
I hold a degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Physical Education. For the past 15 years I have had the opportunity to volunteer and coach youth of all ages in a variety of settings. I have five years of experience in the mental health field working as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist, where I was blessed to guide youth and families in developing the skills they need to better manage life and mental health challenges.
I am driven by a desire to strengthen families and individuals. It is my dream to create a thriving program where I can use my creativity to provide fun, meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to grow, connect, and enjoy life together.
Why No Limits
We recognize the many benefits that come from participating in recreational and leisure activities. These include opportunities to form lifelong friendships, build self-esteem through a sense of accomplishment, develop positive outlets for managing emotions, and strengthen a variety of skills needed for lifelong success.
As noted by youth.gov, “Young people who are surrounded by a variety of opportunities for positive encounters engage in less risky behavior and ultimately show evidence of higher rates of successful transitions into adulthood.”
This is why we believe the No Limits program is so important. When children experience prolonged boredom, it can lead to feelings of depression and a longing for positive engagement. Our goal is to provide an inclusive program filled with activities that not only beat boredom, but also offer a safe, engaging environment where every individual has access to a wide variety of opportunities.
